An attractive young woman, Ulyana happens to witness a murder and is forced into hiding from the killers to avoid the same fate. Her best friend who has been in love with her for many years, helps her to disappear and be rid of the dangerous pursuers. Ulyana decides to move to another city, where her rich and successful twin sister, Lera lives. The two sisters have not been in contact for a long time and, on the threshold of the reunion, Ulyana discovers that Lera has just died.
