Former Russian journalist Herman, while in exile in Paris and eking out a half-beggarly existence, receives news of the serious illness of his grandfather, a famous physicist. Returning to Russia, Herman learns from his dying grandfather about the corridor of time he created. The hero decides to use this invention to improve his financial situation. Repeated travels in the 60s and back led to numerous tragicomedy situations.
