At the very end of the war, Ivan Klimovich was presented with the Order of the Red Banner, but did not receive the award - he was seriously wounded, stayed in the hospital and returned to his native collective farm to carpenter. Many years passed, and one day, on the eve of Victory Day, they remembered the old man's long-standing exploits and called him to the military enlistment office to present the award.
