Gesha Korostylyov works as a security guard in the regional administration and is raising a daughter with his wife, Lyusya. He's endured ridicule all his life, having achieved nothing. Everything changes when Gesha learns that his great-grandfather was Colonel Caesar. The fact that the stress falls on the wrong syllable doesn't bother the guard, as he's already deduced that he descends from the famous Roman general. Gesha decides that the "descendant" of a legendary figure can't live as before, so he leaves home, finds love in the businesswoman Cleopatra, and finds a new calling-helping the villagers.
